Family Vacation 2010: San Diego Pt. 2

These pictures are from days 2 and 3 of our awesome summer vacation. They are from Point Loma, Old Town, Coranado Island, and Mission Beach.
The Lewis Family
One of the last sessions in Rhode Island was with the Lewis family. It was probably my favorite shoot done in the last year. I expected the light to be perfect around sunset, however I didn’t expect the whole family to be so photogenic! I couldn’t seem to take a bad photo of them!
While I was taking that picture of the girls, I turned around to find this!
Of course they had no idea I took it until the proofs! I love a truly candid photo.
Walk on the beach
Yesterday was incredibly beautiful, about 70 degrees, small breeze, etc. I decided I wanted to go to the beach. After much convincing I was able to get my sister Anna to come along. We brought a few snacks and of course, I brought my camera. After we ate our snacks on the rocks, we decided to go for a walk.
I love the beach. I don’t like swimming at the beach, however I really enjoy just walking around, hanging out at the beach. So many things to watch going on around you. The waves were pretty good for Rhode Island. A few surfers and the dudes with the giant kite/glider thingys were out. Very entertaining to watch some of them wipe out! Sadly, I didn’t get any wipe out shots.
When we move to San Antonio in 4 weeks, the thing I will really miss about Rhode Island is the beaches. I have such a good time walking around, snapping pictures, and trying not to step on stuff like this.
and of course, it provides a great way to spend time with sisters.
