Family Vacation: San Diego Pt. 1

Last month we headed out to Cali again on our annual family vacation. You can see pictures from last year here. Once again we were out there for the Switchfoot Bro-Am, the awesome surf contest and a day full of concerts to raise money for Stand Up For Kids. Pictures from Bro-Am will be posted soon!

Day one we arrived in town then preceded to have dinner at In-N-Out before headed over to Balboa Park to just relax and take pictures of all the buildings. Later that evening, we stumbled upon a organ concert at the magnificent Spreckels Organ Pavilion! What a great way to end the first day!

Last month, I shot portraits for the Smyser’s and their extended family. They were celebrating Grandpa’s 70th birthday together and wanted to capture everyone while they were together! Despite the heat and humidity we were able to get these in their beautiful backyard.

Over the last two weeks I have taken a very large number of photos. I’ve spent the last few days trying to catch up here on the blog. These all fall into the “I didn’t have enough to make a blog post” category, so I’ve saved up a few small ones to share today!

To start this off is a headshot actress, dancer, and singer, Danielle Martinez. I can’t wait to see what exciting things she will continue to do. Wish her luck as today she is auditioning for Hairspray here in San Antonio!

Next up is the Baby of the Year. No, I’m not lying. At six months she is the best baby I have ever seen, she does not whine or cry ever. She is the daughter of one of our family friends so I am so lucky to be able to see her quite often! I took these pictures of her on our couch while she was over.

I found this very intriguing house in Cibolo, Texas. The light around sunset mixed with the condition of the house made for a very spooky scene.

Last is a picture of my beloved MINI, HeidII, in Cibolo right around the corner from that house. She was extremely dirty from a road trip, but I couldn’t pass up the great light and location.
