About Paul

My obsession with photography started with my father’s 25 year old Konica 35mm SLR and a basic photography class taught by the incredible Christine Gacharna. How lucky was I to have her as a neighbor! I quickly became somewhat of a teachers pet and enjoyed absorbing all the knowledge I could from her and the rest of the world around me. I had become obsessed with the art of photography, looking through thousands of photographs in magazines, books and online, I couldn’t get enough of it. I was shooting through rolls of film like nobody’s business! I was that “photo geek” constantly shooting anything or anybody that I could.

Fast forward a bit from there and suddenly I found myself with a small client base asking me to do family portraits! I anxiously accepted, fearing all the what if’s. What if none of them come out? What if they do come out, but they don’t like them? It was then I began to realize how art works, it’s a personal expression of how you perceive the world. Using the talents and skills I have learned allowed me to create my artistic expression, what I submit as photographs. It was in the summer of 2007 that I made the decision to become a bona-fide business. I have since had the privilege of capturing the emotions, moods, and memories of many interesting individuals. What a wonderful job to be able to experience and capture the life of others!
